Memories to be made

THE CAMP

Allow the stresses of the outside world to slip away.

Camp Taringatura offers tranquillity in a setting of ancient forest, where you can absorb the beauty of nature

- listen to the sounds, smell the earth, touch and feel the heartbeat of this little piece of wilderness.

Away from the city life with amazing views.

Set at the foot of the Taringatura hills on the Southland Planes, on the banks of the Dipton stream and Oreti River, the River Aperima. We are close to Great Lakes, Rivers and not far from the Ocean. Queenstown and Milford Sound are just one and a half hours away. Invercargill 1 hr. Many places you can reach in under an hour.

Our Venue has 15 acres with plenty of space to spread out and have fun.

Have a work out at the Gym, book in for one of our activities- offering Archery, Floating obstacles, Mud slide,

Canoeing, Bonfire with damper and guitar music

The Camp is surrounded by New Zealand's Native Bush with some of the last remnants of Southland Plains Podocarp Forests. Only 1% of these ancient forests remain.

They were felled as European Settlers sought access to the very fertile Soils beneath the Forests for Grazing and other Agricultural Endeavour's.

Just next door is the Taringatura Scientific Reserve where you can explore even more of these beautiful forests.
